In order to work at SUPERVALU, you must have a valid work authorization. SUPERVALU is dedicated to assist our candidates to obtain such work authorization and have many years of expertise.
Typically, pharmacists fall under the H-1B category. This category of temporary work authorization does have a quota each year. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) reviews each petition. Each fiscal year starts on October 1 with applications accepted as early as April 1. Currently, the H-1B quota consists of 20,000 for individuals with a US Masters or above and up to 65000 for the general H-1B quota.
Citizens of Canada or Mexico and Canada may also work on the TN due to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
The FPGEC certification and a valid state intern license (or letter of deficiency) are amongst the key items required to apply for work authorization.
Assistance in obtaining work authorization is a benefit to SUPERVALU candidates. It is the ultimate desire for SUPERVALU to assist our sponsored pharmacists to obtain their permanent residency.
