SUPERVALU Pharmacies understands about the importance of technology that we developed, maintain and continually enhance the ARx pharmacy system internally. Our Pharmacy Systems team is comprised of both pharmacists and technicians whose sole function is to focus on new technologies and processes that allow our pharmacists to better serve their patients.

Other services that complement the ARx pharmacy system include:
- An interpreter service that enables our pharmacy team to communicate effectively with patients without regard to language
- Automation and counting devices
- IVR and prescriber voice mail services which provide convenience for patients and prescribers, allowing the pharmacy team to serve patients more efficiently
- Call Patient program which utilizes a voice-automated system to call patients when they have a prescription ready
Technology without process can be inefficient. Therefore, our Process Redesign Team has developed a workflow that complements the ARx pharmacy system to create a structured, safe and efficient process to fill prescription orders. This team also works with store development to constantly review our pharmacy design and provide a pharmacy floor plan that is conducive to patient interaction. This combination produces a well-orchestrated environment that prioritizes prescription orders while balancing workload, reducing stress and enhancing practice satisfaction.
