Pharmacy Training

Graduate Intern and Pharmacist Training

SUPERVALU Pharmacies firmly believes that new associate training provides the foundation for you to be successful. All new graduate interns and pharmacists participate in a structured training program as an introduction to operations, customer service and computer applications.

Pharmacy Manager Training

Our multi-phase management program is developed by pharmacists for pharmacists. These sessions build upon the skills gained in new associate training and practical experience. Pharmacy managers learn the skills needed to operate a profitable pharmacy and manage a pharmacy team to provide sound patient care. These abilities are achieved through interactive learning on topics including economics, team building and leadership.

Community Pharmacy Residency

SUPERVALU Pharmacies offers the opportunity to advance patient care skills through our Community Pharmacy Residency Program. SUPERVALU Pharmacies' residents have the clinical resources of a college of pharmacy, as well as the resources of a Fortune 100 company, to help develop clinical and managerial/business skills. Our APhA/ASHP multi-site accredited program offers multiple community pharmacy residencies. Each affiliation provides a wide array of opportunities to ensure professional development. Through their experiences in community and academic settings, our residents complete the program with the skills necessary to practice in a wide variety of clinical environments.
