Students: Monthly Newsletter
Keeping in touch with the students that work for us is a priority at SUPERVALU Pharmacies. Students have a chance to meet with our recruiters and Pharmacy District Managers at a variety of campus events through out the school year. In addition, we use e-mail communication as a way to keep students informed and in touch with the company. Below are just a few examples of the communications we send out to our students.

FINALS

It is fast approaching that time of the year that pharmacy students everywhere probably dread: finals week. For five straight days, students are faced with back-to-back exams for every course they are taking and are expected to cram in all the information they can in order to prepare. Sweatpants, messy hair, and coffee cups are abundant during this period. But while no one will argue that this can be one of the most stressful times during the semester, the level of stress which we experience is certainly something students have some control over. With preparation and effective use of our time, we should be able to be successful in our final exams and hopefully move on to enjoy our breaks that are soon to follow. Good luck!

2009 Partners in Excellence Award

HealthPartners, a leading national private insurance provider with a top ranking in
Minnesota, presented CUB Pharmacy with a 2009 Partners in Excellence Award for
Managing High Risk Medications. The annual award honors medical groups and
pharmacies that achieve either excellent or superior performance on specific quality,
satisfaction and cost effectiveness targets. CUB Pharmacy gained national
distinction for Pharmacy team efforts to dispense the most appropriate drugs to
elderly patients. “The CUB team did a great job in using medication therapy to make
sure our patients received the best outcomes possible,” said Matt Cross, regional
manager, Managed Care - Midwest. “We are proud of this recognition and the steps
CUB pharmacists took to further distinguish our company from our competitors.”
